Fiber Friend Shelly
Kelie and I are have a wonderful friend Shelly who, like us, enjoys her fibery hobbies. Shelly was one of the 45 lucky enthusiasts who got to attend this year's Knot Hysteria Retreat in Port Ludlow, WA, on November 4-8. The teachers for the event were Judith MacKenzie (spinning), Tina Newton (dying), and Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (colorwork knitting). Shelly joined us for this episode to tell us all about her trip!
Episode 22: Postcard from Fiber Camp
What's on Our Sticks:
Kelie finished her Transition Point Socks, and they are really cool! She also made her hat for a hat exchange we are attending in a couple of days - details next time! Her only current project on the sticks is her Seaside Shawlette. She's ready to swatch for her Opposite Pole.

My right Eve
Wendy finished her exchange hat, and the first prototype sock for Mystery Sock IV. I also started Eve gloves by Julia Mueller and they are gorgeous! I'm tryng to stay focused on my spinning, and am making steady progress :-) I think I might make the
Semi Precious shawl from knitty.com with it if I have enough yardage.
Shelly is currently working on a lace wrap from her handspun, and has a hat to make for the exchange!
Seaside Shawlette KAL: We've completed another fun KAL! Congrats to everyone who particiated and completed their beautiful shawls. We know there are still knitters who are working on their projects, so please post photos to share them when you are done :-) You know we like us some show and tell.

Fiber Queen Kelie
Southern CA Handweavers' Guild Weaving and Fiber Festival: We had a great time at this show again this year! It's always fun to meet LA area Sock-aholics and podcast listeners. Kelie was successful in her quest for Crosspatch Creations fiber, and brought home lots of pretty new colors!

Future Big Bertha Twinset
Dreaded Knits: Since Kelie finished her Swirl Shawl (YAY!!!) several folks are now motivated to work on a dreaded knit, including me. I'm going to start working on my Big Bertha Twinset, and it will be awesome to have this two-year old project out of my WIP bag.
Prize Giveaway: Our prize for November is a Knit Happy Take-Along Tote! To be entered in the random drawing, just leave a comment below :-)
