  5. My favorite thing is now being passed onto my kids. My granny made me a sweater, and a vest, and my kids are just growing into a size that can now wear them. They were also the last things she ever gave me.

  6. Just a note to say I'm still lovin' the podcast! I bought some yarn from you earlier in 2011, but have crocheted with it instead of making socks. (because I'm a big chicken!) I've been working on my knitting skills so maybe one day I'll branch out into the sock world. Thanks for sharing your projects and inspiration!

  7. I listened to the podcast today and I had an idea for your boa yarn and the other odd yarns. http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2008/07/the-bag-ta-dah.html This is a great bag pattern and I have made several bags with it and use all my bits and pieces of yarn to complete it. The boa and other odd yarns make the bags lots of fun.

  8. A comment about the color choice always being the same, I have the same problem! Have you heard Kelley's episode 173/KnitPicks podcast? It refers to a phone app called Color Snap! I haven't seen it but it sounds cool. What I do is either use a color wheel or a box of crayons (the huge one) and take away or cover up the colors that I have in my stash and then I decide from what is left what I would like to add to my stash.
In reference to handmade gifts, I have a trunk/toy chest my father made for me when I was 8 years old. It has moved with me over the years and has been painted 4 times. I have my knitting/sewing projects in it. Like knitrsue hinted, I could not store my stash in the chest alone.
Thanks for the podcast. I love to see a new one on my iPod! So exciting!
