Episode 24: 2011 Wrap Up

Eve by Julia Mueller
Today's podcast features one of our favorite things to do - we look back over the year to pat ourselves on the back for all our knitting achievements for the year!

What's on Kelie's Sticks:  She's cruising along on her Labyrinth sweater by Wendy Bernard.

Fuzzy Socks!
What's on Wendy's Sticks:  On glove number two of Eve by Julia Mueller.  Love this pattern!  I also finished the Fuzzy Socks I made for my niece.  They are really silly.  I'll have modeled photos next podcast  :-)

Mystery Sock 4:  Our super fun Mystery Sock KAL starts 1/13/12!  This year, the theme is Lucky Charms, and our design will feature lots of techniques to try.  No purchase is necessary, but we do have kits available that include our cute commemmorative stitch marker for this KAL.  Click here for more information on how to sign up!

Travelling Sock KAL:  Registration is underway for our Travelling Sock Knit-along.  We're going to launch the pattern on 12/23, and the KAL starts at the beginning of January.  For this event, knitters will be divided into circles of 8 or so people.  Each knitter will start a pair of socks, and then after a couple of inches of knitting, will mail the socks to the next person in the circle.  Each knitter will eventually work on each pair of socks in the circle, and can be as creative as they like!  If you would like to join in (and aren't shy about going to the post office), Click Here for more information!  Registration ends 12/23.

Podcast Giveaway:  The November winner of a Knit Happy Take Along Tote Bag is LizzieJohns!  For December, we'll be giving away another tote bag, so if you would like to be entered in the random drawing, just leave a comment below  :-)

  2. Thanks, Wendy! The Tote Bag will take the place of the one I lost when I left my yarn, needles, and project bag on the train.

  5. I LOVE listening to you guys chat about your projects and yarn. I was just telling my husband how much I'm itching to start the Mystery Sock KAL. It'll be my first KAL and I'm so looking forward to it!

By the way, perhaps on one of the episodes you would talk about yarn organization. I'm always looking for better ways to store and organize my stash.

  9. I really enjoyed this episode! Like Kelie, the big highlight of my year was Sock Summit. I loved being part of the flash mob, taking classes, and exploring the market. One of my faves in the market was your tattoo. I was so sad when it finally wore off.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
